We bring Season 4 of Security Insights to a close with a review of some of the key trends in cybersecurity during 2023.
Our special guest is the CEO of the Chartered Institute of Information Security (CIISec), Amanda Finch. She discusses CISOs’ ongoing efforts to patch up security holes left by the Covid-19 pandemic, the need to “shift left” when it comes to security development, how to stay ahead of evolving threats and how to operate in a world which is increasingly digital.
And we discuss some of the steps CISOs might need to take, to safeguard their organisations in 2024, as well as how the security industry is acting to address one of its greatest challenges: the skills shortage.
Organisations need to continue to invest in skills, and to support diversity. But above all, our guest argues, better communications between everyone in cyber is one of the surest ways to improve security.
